Worth the Wait…
This past weekend was by far one of the most exciting as I can remember. I had the opportunity to witness not just history but the perhaps one of the most important moments of history. Barack Hussein Obama, the first Black president of the United States of America was inaugurated.
I could have stayed home and watch on T.V. ( God knows that would have hurt a lot less the next day) But through the crowd of the estimated 1.5 million I resounded a shared measure awe that forced out any realization of discomfort.
The nights leading up to this event were more than amazing. Never before had I witnessed such unity and mutual respect for that actions of our nation. I will never forget that moment when Obama stated:
”Let it be said by our children’s children that when we were tested, we refused to let this journey end, that we did not turn back, nor did we falter…And with eyes fixed on the horizon and God’s grace upon us, we carried forth that great gift of freedom and delivered it safely to future generations.”
I felt the charge of that statement and I believe the truth that is held within it.
As always, amazed by the things that happen in…
